Beyond the surface

Diving &
Photography

Teaching, guiding, and looking closely—three ways I spend time in the water and learn from the life within it.

01 / In the water

Scuba instructing
& dive guiding

I teach scuba and guide dives with an emphasis on calm, capable divers and close attention to the environment around us. Sharing the water means helping people build confidence, move thoughtfully, and notice what they might otherwise swim past.

02 / Small worlds

Macro photography

Macro work rewards patience. Through the lens, nudibranchs, coral polyps, frogfish, and octopuses become entire landscapes—color, texture, and detail that can disappear against a reef at swimming speed.

03 / The wider view

Wide-angle photography

Pulling back changes the story. These photographs hold animals in context—the structure of a reef, light at the surface, and the scale and atmosphere of the habitat itself.
