The Relationship Between US East Coast Sea Level and Large-Scale North Atlantic Circulation
The US East Coast is exceptionally vulnerable to changes in coastal sea level. Variability in basin-scale dynamics drives changes in coastal sea level. This thesis quantifies the relationship between these dynamics and coastal sea level to explain interannual tide-gauge variability.

Arctic Sea Ice Extent Trend Prediction Accuracy Can Be Increased by Ensemble Member Selection
Does a good match to past performance indicate that a specific ensemble member will have superior predictive skill when compared with other members from the same model? Which selection metrics provide the best result, and how long do those effects last?
We found that selection by mean was most effective, with substantial reductions in trend error present up to 12 years after the member-selection period.

Sea Surface Height EOF Interactive Visualization
EOF analysis is a powerful tool for understanding spatial and temporal modes of variability in geophysical processes. To make these modes easier to understand, I built an interactive plotting function that lets users select modes, move the maps through time, and compare the full and residual signals not captured by the selected EOFs.

Analysis of DPLE Predictive Skill Across ENSO Regimes via ACC Score
ENSO is one of the largest modes of variability in the climate system, with profound global impacts on temperature and precipitation. This work asks how the two modes of ENSO differ in their contribution to predictability on sub-decadal time scales.

Addressing Heat Equity Through Collaborative Policy
I studied environmental policy in Washington, DC through a CU program, learning about policymaking, the role of public and private institutions in science, governmental constraints, and pathways to leadership. This project applied my planning and climate knowledge to understand heat equity as a complex social, environmental, and economic issue.

Estes Park Visitor Center Redesign
The Estes Park Visitor Center hosts the town’s primary bus stop, farmers market, and many civic events. Reflecting the area’s natural beauty while providing an inviting space for families and events was the central goal of this design proposal.
